Getting Through The Afternoon Lull

January 3, 2020 By lyndsinreallife

We know what it’s like… You get to work, and you’re super productive for the first few hours. Then you head off for lunch and when you come back, it seems impossible to get back into rhythm. You’re easily distracted and can’t seem to work efficiently. Most people experience the afternoon lull, and powdered Matcha green tea can help you through it.

An afternoon lull is something we all experience

Of course, if you work from home, you will know that these lulls can be even more damaging. This is because there are so many different temptations that can take you further and further away from work, like the fridge or TV. It can be very hard to stay on track, and this is why you need to do everything to keep your productivity and motivation levels as high as possible. Something as simple as Matcha tea can make all of the difference. Needless to say, if you work from home, you may be able to try other products at a dispensary too. Foods and drinks are powerful when used in a natural and correct way, so it is always worth looking at your diet in order to help you be your most productive self.

Do you usually turn to an energy drink for your afternoon boost?

Most people turn to coffee or an energy drink when they are struggling to make it through the last half of the day. However, you will get a much better energy boost from Matcha green tea, and a much healthier one too. Research has proven that one cup of Matcha will give you an energy boost that lasts much longer than the boost you will get from a cup of coffee. The reason for this is because of flavonoids, which are compounds that promote calmness and focus. Thus, unlike coffee, you won’t experience a jittery energy boost, followed by a crash.

If you look at the ingredients contained in Matcha powder, you will notice the word ‘caffeine,’ which often leads people to assume that this green tea is no different to coffee, soda, and energy drinks. However, it is important to recognize that there is a smaller amount in Matcha, and this caffeine is alkalising. In the likes of coffee, caffeine is acidic, and this makes a massive difference. L-Theanine, an amino acid found in Matcha, works in synergy with the caffeine, leading to a consistent and gradual energy release.

A natural and effective way of getting through the afternoon lull

So, next time you are struggling to make it through the afternoon at work, ditch the coffee and forget about the energy drinks. Instead, opt for powdered Matcha green tea. This naturally sweet and delicious drink will give you the perfect energy boost to ensure your productivity levels soar throughout the rest of the day!
