When you suffer from back pain, the first thing you will want to do is to put the pain behind you. Although it isn’t as easy as switching it off, there are some things that you can do to help reduce and manage the pain.
These things will not eliminate the pain but make living with back pain that bit easier.

Get the right shoes
Your shoes are an important thing to adjust if your current ones are unsupportive. The right shoes will help you keep good posture and help to take tension away from the back when you are walking.

Think about your sleep
Living with and managing back pain can be made more comfortable when you sleep in the right positions. Sometimes laying on your stomach can cause back pain to become worse over time, as it will put a strain on your spine.
The best position is to lie on your side with your knees bent and a cushion between your legs. This will take tension and tightness away from the back while you rest.
Furthermore, getting a new mattress can help to support your back while you sleep. If your mattress is too soft or too hard, it might be the cause of your back pain. If you already have pain, it could be making it much worse.

Exercise your core
A weak core can contribute to a bad back. The stronger your core is, the less tension and weight will be held in the back.

Try the downward dog pose to alleviate tightness in the lower back and legs. Then, sit with your legs stretched out in front of you and slowly and gently touch your toes (you can do this standing up if you have trouble getting up and down). This will stretch out your entire back.
Another thing I do is use an inversion table. It stretches my back, going with gravity instead of against it. It helps so much! Especially with low back pain.
Keep up the routine
Lastly, it is important to not give up this routine. Wearing the right shoes, thinking about your sleep, and partaking in pain-reducing exercises will help to alleviate some tension and make the pain more manageable.
The more you persist with this routine, the sooner you can attain results. You may be lucky enough for these methods to completely eliminate the pain in time. It is all about patience and consistency.
You shouldn’t have to live with back pain. It can disrupt your lifestyle. Therefore, take these tips on board if you live with long-lasting pain or experience occasional back issues.
