When it comes to spending time with a partner, there are few things more fun than a date night. Whether you were going out for one or staying in for one, spending time together just to laugh and have fun is one of the most fun things that you can do outside of your working life. You can socialize with friends, but date night brings you together. If you don’t want to go out and have date night, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to impress your date.
Even if you’ve been together for years, making that time together at home is just as fun as going out to a fancy reference you could even dress up if you wanted to build up nothing ruins a date like being turned away from a restaurant, but when you have the best cheese quesadilla recipe yourself at home, you can make a point of having a movie night with your favorite foods. You could even theme it with Mexican food that you like! Either way, when it comes to planning the perfect night out you need to be able to schedule this in so that it works for everybody. So with this in mind, here are the tips that you need for the perfect date night planning.
- Get to know their schedule. If you are both working full time it can be hard to slot in the space that you need to have an actual evening together. If you have children at home, or regular hobbies and commitments, you need to find time for each other among all of that mess. Sharing your calendars together at work even when you work in different workplaces is a great way to determine whether you are in the right frame of mind for a date night that week.
- Make up an itinerary. So, you know when date night should be, so what should you do? Whether you are hosting that Mexican night in front of your favorite movie, or you decide to go and play mini golf together, date night should be for both of you. If one of you loves to go dancing but the other one would rather cut off their feet than try, don’t go dancing. Choose something that’s going to be good for both of you.
- Build your evening around your date. If you have an event to go to, you can build that around your date. If one of you is finishing later than the other, why don’t you go and pick the other person up. Go out to dinner directly from work and give them something to look forward to. Is the perfect way to plan a date night, because sometimes you can be spontaneous, but spontaneity doesn’t account for late nights at work.
- Don’t plan this around a busy time. Instead of trying to force yourself to do things when you’re tired, make sure that date night is slotted in nicely so that you’re both going to be relaxed enough to enjoy each other’s company.
