Stressed Out? Here’s How To Approach Feeling Better

March 31, 2025 By lyndsinreallife

Dealing with stress will be different for everyone. Even just trying out a bit of self-care will be different to anyone who turns to it to relax and recharge! That’s what makes dealing with stress such a difficult thing; the recommendations you get for lowering the pressure and tense feelings you’re living with might not work for you at all.

So what can you do to actually start feeling better? There’s no general guide to go through, but there are some concepts you can try out that could be beneficial to you. Make sure you personalize them to suit you, of course, but the points we’ve listed below could be of use to you.

Work Out Your Stress Source

Where is your stress coming from? It could be just the one thing you’re dealing with right now, it could be many different things that are all building up. No matter the source behind the stress, you need to know what’s making that pressure feel so heavy on your shoulders.

Once you have, you can begin to lower its impact on your life. Someone with work-related stress, for example, may need to have a word with their boss about their workload. They also may need to use some PTO to take a break.

On the other hand, someone living with care-related pressures may need to hire outside help, allowing professional nurses or carers to come in and serve an elderly relative. Take some of the pressure off by figuring out where it’s coming from so you can do something about it!

Think About What You’re Missing Out on

Stress can also be accentuated by things that are missing in our lives. Once you’ve discovered your stress source, you should then think about what it’s removing from your day-to-day schedule.

Not getting enough sleep? That’s not going to help at all! But if insomnia seems to be striking alongside the stress, you could try out some CBD liquid to help you feel more relaxed for bedtime. The more sleep you get, the less stressed you’re going to feel!

Or maybe it’s been a long time since you saw a friend? Now’s the time to message someone to ask for a meetup ASAP.

Talk to Someone

Stress is rarely ever beaten when it’s bottled away. You need to let it out by talking to someone. This can be anyone willing to listen, but we often feel best when talking to someone close to us.

You can also consider therapy if your stress has become chronic and you’d like to learn some coping mechanisms. Not only will you get an emotional outlet from talking about your feelings, but you could also pick up some very actionable tips. You’re more likely to get relevant ones from those who know you personally.

If stress is getting on top of you right now, the points above will help you to identify and minimize it.
