BlogFest with #SweatPink at IDEA World Recap

July 26, 2017 By lyndsinreallife 4 Comments

Last week, I attended my 3rd BlogFest at IDEA World (hosted by Fit Approach/#SweatPink) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It was a health and fitness blogger’s dream! I had the best weekend with the best people, and I’m excited to share all about it here on Lynds in Real Life!

I made sure to rock my swag from past BlogFests, like my #sweatpink tanks, bags, jewelry, and the Reebok shoes I got the first year.

My boyfriend Tim went to the expo with me, and it was really fun! The expo had a ton of booths related to fitness, nutrition, health, and overall well-being. They gave out samples, hats, shirts, pens, etc. to people who stopped by. We tried some really great snacks, like Perfect Bar, Skinny Salamis, and California Figs. I got a chair massage from Soothe. There were soda alternatives (which is perfect, because I cut out soda 6 weeks ago, and it’s HARD) from companies like La Croix, TopoChico, and Pure LYFT (a caffeine alternative).

I learned so much in the BlogFest sessions. I’ve been blogging for almost 4 years, but things are always changing, and it’s important to keep up with that, and also adapt to stand out in the market. We heard from:

  • Katy Widrick (How to Make Old Content New Again)
  • Lindsay Valdez (The 5 Most Important SEO Elements on a Blog Post)
  • Amanda Vogel, MA (Guest Blogging- Everything You Need to Know to Make Money)
  • Todd Durkin, MA (Keynote Speaker)

Inside the BlogFest room, sponsors provided us with snacks, which were perfect to keep us fueled throughout the day. My favorite was Siggi’s, a company that makes icelandic skyr yogurt. It’s my favorite yogurt, not only because it tastes amazing, but it has high protein and low sugar. They came out with a new drinkable yogurt (filmjölk), and it’s definitely going to be a household staple.

I also really loved the fresh figs from California Figs. I had never had a fig before, and was nervous to try it; but I was pleasantly surprised! I’m not sure how to describe the texture, but it reminded me of eating an apricot. They’re very juicy, and in season right now.

We were able to schedule 1:1 sessions with brands (the ones who sponsored Blogfest), and this hadn’t been an option at the Blogfests I’d been to before (2014, 2015). Naturally, I was really excited about it! As a blogger,  working with brands is almost essential (at least a few times). Especially if you want to be noticed, and have that extra exposure (+ if you want to make any money blogging). There was one brand in particular that I was really interested in working with: Takeya.

Takeya makes AMAZING water bottles. The lid is patented, that’s how awesome it is. It keeps drinks hot for 12 hours, and cold for 24 hours. Legitimately, even 12 hours later, the ice in your bottle will still be frozen. Mind blown!

Vooray was having a special: almost 50% off their gym bags. I really loved their Zen bag for yoga, the gym, and also a nanny bag (I’m a nanny for those who don’t know!). Sooo, I bought it! It looks really nice, and reminds me of a designer bag (which I’m all about). It’s functional, pretty, and totally worth the buy. I got the one on the left, but also really loved the pattern of the one on the right. I almost bought two!

Blogfest 2017 was such a hit, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend. I’ve never enjoyed any other conference/convention as much as I do Blogfest and IDEA World! I’m really looking forward to next year in San Diego; I hope to see you there!

Did you attend BlogFest this year? Or any in the past?

  • What’s 1 or 2 things you’d like to learn about at a blogging conference?

Thank you so much for reading!

#AwareWithPink Friday Five / Breast Cancer Awareness

October 7, 2016 By lyndsinreallife 2 Comments

This Friday, I’m joining Fit Approach and AfterShokz for a Friday Five: five things about me, all related to sweating hard, inspiring harder, and raising awareness about breast and ovarian cancer. This entire month of October, I am #AwareWithPink! Share how you’re #AwareWithPink in a blog post for a chance to win a pair of PINK Trekz Titanium headphones.

#Awarewithpink after shokz fit approach

1. Tunes that inspire! My 3 favorite pump-up songs to listen to while I workout are: Last Nite by The Strokes, Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi, and Afraid by The Neighborhood. I LOVE my AfterShokz PINK Trekz Titanium headphones while I sweat because they keep me aware (and #AwareWithPink) of my surroundings. I can hear what’s going on; whether it be traffic, someone passing me, or sirens. It’s also awesome how 25% of the proceeds of these headphones go to Bright Pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

2. Give back!? I empower myself and others throughout #BCA month by running and raising money for If Girls Ran The World. I’m spreading awareness of breast and ovarian cancer (and also cervical, since I had it in 2009) this October. I’m sharing about the importance of getting regular mammograms and tests. Help me fundraise for the Susan G. Komen foundation by donating here! (Thank you!)

3. Be a self care advocate:  I’m a huge advocate for self-care. I really started to recognize the importance of it when I began volunteering for International Bipolar Foundation. It’s important to take time to ourselves, whether it’s meditation (which is so amazing), yoga (my favorite form of exercise!), therapy, going on walks, taking a nice bubble bath, or leaving a toxic relationship. It’s our responsibility to take care of ourselves!

4. Inspiring threads!  What are my favorite products/apparel that empower me to get sweaty + strong? Oh, I have SO many!

  • My favorite tops: these prAna tops:
  • prAna yoga #sweatpink blog 12 prAna yoga #sweatpink blog 27  (use code pranafallstyle16 at prana.com to get 15% off!); My #SweatPink tops (find them here!)
  • My favorite leggings: Katie K Active’s Rushhour Capris (they’re on sale right now, too! – use code Lyndsay25 for an extra 25% off and free shipping)
  • My favorite products: Of course, AfterShok’z PINK Trekz Titanium headphones:
  • AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Pink
  • Also, The WACOAL Awareness Bra, partnered with Susan G. Komen. WACOAL will donate $2 for every bra purchased this month! More info here.

5. Friends who inspire!  Someone who inspires me to live a happy, healthy life is my friend Rita. We met about 2 years ago in LA (our dogs became best friends, and so did we!), and we’re pretty much the same person. What’s awesome about Rita is that she is always inspiring me and empowering me to be great. She supports me when I need to lose weight, when I need adult advice (she’s a year older than me, but she’s so smart!), and any time I need a shoulder to cry on. We live far apart now (she’s in San Diego and I’m in Las Vegas), but she’s pretty much the greatest friend ever, so the distance doesn’t matter. Thank you Rita for being such a rock in my life!

lynds and rita

All opinions and words are my own. I truly appreciate all of the brands the support the Sweat Pink community.

How I’m #AwareWithPink with AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Pink Headphones

September 6, 2016 By lyndsinreallife 4 Comments

When I was an audiology student, we often talked about head/ear phones and how they’re pretty bad for your hearing. They often cause hearing loss (because the loud sound is too close to your ear drum). One rule of thumb is that you should always be able to hear the people around you. If you can’t, your headphones are too loud. So naturally, when I heard about AfterShokz bone conduction open ear headphones, I was pretty ecstatic to use them! Especially learning about their #AwareWithPink campaign (read below for more!).

Disclosure: As a #SweatPink ambassador with Fit Approach, in partnership with AfterShokz and its #AwareWithPink campaign, I received a pair of Trekz Titanium Pink headphones (and case). No monetary compensation was received. As always, all opinions are 100% my own. Some images courtesy of AfterShokz.

AfterShokz’s Trekz Titanium Pink headphones, initially developed for military special operations and law enforcement company Voxtech in 2001, use bone conduction, meaning the ear pieces sit on the cheekbone right in front of the ear (the transducer), not IN your ear. The frame should loop over the ears, with the band resting behind the head, close to the neck. We are able to still hear the sound this way because all sound is are vibrations at different frequencies and wavelengths that travel through our ear to our brain. While the most popular way to hear sound is through our ears directly, bone conduction works just as well! #BeOpen #HearItAll

AfterShokz Titanium Trekz Pink

What’s really cool about using bone conduction headphones is that it leaves our ear canals completely open. This means we are still able to hear everything going on around us! I can have music playing through my headphones, and still have a conversation with my boyfriend. I can hear him clear as day. The most  important aspect of this, however, is that when I’m outside walking or doing yoga, I can hear what’s happened around me. If someone is coming up behind me, I can hear them. If there are sirens, I can be aware. If someone is trying to get my attention, I’m not oblivious (and I don’t look like a jerk). Being able to hear what’s happening around us makes  us, and using headphones, much safer! Pretty amazing, right?!

Trekz Titanium Pink #AwareWithPink AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Pink #AwareWithPink

Trekz Titanium Pink are IP55 rated – which technically means you can hose them down and they’ll survive. Don’t go swimming with them, but rain and excessive sweat won’t do damage!

The headphones are wireless and work through Bluetooth®. Everything is controlled through the buttons on the headphones. The power, volume, play, pause, skipping songs, and phone calls. The sound is incredibly clear and sharp. Also, the battery stays charged for 6+ hours!

#AwareWithPink

The limited edition Trekz Titanium Pink not only help you be more aware of your surroundings, but also aware of breast and ovarian cancer. How, you ask? Well, for every unit sold through October 31st, AfterShokz will donate 25% of proceeds to Bright Pink – a non-profit that focuses on breast and ovarian cancer awareness and education! We’re making a difference by being #AwareWithPink. Every time #AwareWithPink is used on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, AfterShokz will donate an additional 25 cents to Bright Pink to extend the awareness.

AfterShokz Trekz Titanium Pink

I’m pretty passionate about women’s cancer awareness and education; I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2009 (two days before my 21st birthday). While cervical cancer is not part of this campaign (it’s often non-fatal), I believe that awareness of any type of women’s cancer brings awareness to all cancers. That’s why being #AwareWithPink and spreading the word is really important to me.

Find out how you can help at awarewithpink,aftershokz.com.

How I #FeelAmazingEveryday with Amazing Grass Protein Superfood + GIVEAWAY

July 12, 2016 By lyndsinreallife 25 Comments

Disclosure: As part of my #sweatpink ambassadorship with Fit Approach, participating in the Amazing Grass campaign, I received a full-size Amazing Grass protein superfood canister and monetary compensation. All opinions are my own.

I try to be active and #FeelAmazingEveryday, even in the Las Vegas heat. I really enjoy yoga and Pilates, and running in the evening (after the sun goes down). Now that I have a pool at my apartment complex, I’ve taken on swimming. I love it!

I like to wake up every day and throw on my prAna bathing suit. Then I make my Amazing Grass smoothie. I need to make sure I get all the fuel and energy I can before swimming; it takes a lot out of me, and if I don’t fuel myself properly (or hydrate!), it’s easy to get dizzy, pass out, or even suffer from heat exhaustion.

amazing grass blog #sweatpink summer Amazing Grass Blog #sweatpink

I’ve tried numerous protein powders in the past, but none like Amazing Grass. What makes it so different? Here’s a few reasons:

  • AG is a protein superfood: 20g of plant-based protein with greens, fruits, and veggies (with only 110 calories per serving).
  • Superfoods are nutrient-rich foods high in antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals, and are considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being (health.com).
  • AG is USDA organic.
  • AG is non-GMO.
  • AG is gluten-free.
  • AG contains no added sugar.
  • AG contains 7 alkalizing greens (wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa, spirulina, chlorella, broccoli, &spinach).
  • AG contains pea, chia, quinoa, & hemp protein, making it plant-based and vegan.
  • AG contains fruit & veggies such as beet, carrot, sweet potato, goji, acai, banana, & more.
  • AG is made in the United States, with select ingredients carefully curated from around the world.

amazing grass protein superfood   amazing grass protein superfood benefits

Amazing Grass makes it super easy to get all the nutrients I need to fuel my body throughout the day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right? So why not have a breakfast full of protein, fruits, veggies, fiber, vitamins, and minerals?

I like Amazing Grass, but it’s important to note that since it contains superfoods, it has a bit of a plant taste. The powder I received is vanilla flavored, and you can definitely taste the vanilla, but the superfood taste stands out. It’s a different taste than powders with soy or whey protein, but Amazing Grass powder has so many superfoods (and is vegan), so it’s to be expected! The benefits definitely outweigh the plant taste.

Amazing Grass and Fit Approach have teamed up to offer a canister of Amazing Grass protein powder to one lucky person! I am hosting a giveaway (below), and whoever wins gets a canister of Amazing Grass in the flavor of their choice (original, vanilla, or chocolate peanut butter)! Yogurt Snack with Mighty Nut® Powdered Peanut Butter Recipe & Giveaway

October 29, 2015 By lyndsinreallife Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Mighty Nut® and Fit Approach. All opinions are my own.

Who doesn’t love peanut butter? It’s pretty much the best on-the-go snack there is. Well, unless you’re allergic, and in that case, I feel for you. Sometimes, I want to take my peanut butter with me (long days of nannying, fitness endeavors, etc), and a giant jar of peanut butter is too much. Luckily, Mighty Nut (Peanut Butter & Co) has released POWDERED peanut butter!

Mighty Nut Peanut Butter #sweatpink info chart Mighty Nut Powdered Peanut Butter #sweatpink blog

Powdered peanut butter tastes just as good, if not better than regular peanut butter, and it’s much healthier. Mighty Nut’s original powdered PB has only 45 calories per serving (2 tbsp), 1.5g of fat, and 2g of sugar (plus 6g of protein). Simply mix 2 tbsp of PB with 1 tbsp of water and stir until smooth.

There are four flavors: original, vanilla, chocolate, and flax & chia.

I was trying to think of various things I could make using this PB, in addition to the protein shakes I already make using it (SO good!). I came up with the idea of peanut butter Greek yogurt. One word: brilliant!

Here’s how I made my peanut butter yogurt snack:

1 single-serving container of plain Greek yogurt (I used Kroger/Ralph’s brand vanilla Greek yogurt for an extra hint of vanilla)

Mighty Nut Greek Yogurt #sweatpink

I put the yogurt in a bowl for easier mixing. I then added one scoop (using the scooper that came with the PB, which is about 1.5 tbsp) of powdered PB (vanilla) to the yogurt.

Mighty Nut Peanut Butter #sweatpink powdered spoon

I then added 1 tbsp of cacao nibs (affiliate link: Navitas Naturals brand) to the yogurt and PB.

Navitas Naturals Cacao Nibs Blog

Mix it all together, and voila!

Mighty Nut Peanut Butter Yogurt Cacao Recipe

Let me tell you guys, this snack is SO good, and so simple to make! Give it a try for yourself and let me know how you like it. 🙂

Now, without further adieu, the giveaway!

Mighty Nut has teamed up with Fit Approach/#SweatPink to offer one lucky person a bottle of Mighty Nut powdered peanut butter (winner’s choice of flavor), plus a branded measuring scoop. As a #SweatPink ambassador, I get to share this giveaway with you!

Giveaway rules: US only. One prize per person. If you win this giveaway, and have already won another prize from Mighty Nut through another blog, please disclose that you have already won so we can choose another winner. Giveaway ends Nov. 6 at 11:59 pm PST.

Good luck to everyone who enters! If you can’t wait to see if you’ve won, visit Mighty Nut’s website for a list of retailers who carry Mighty Nut, or visit ilovepeanutbutter.com.

How I #LiveInprAna From Yoga to Work with #SweatPink

October 3, 2015 By lyndsinreallife 1 Comment

This post is sponsored by prAna and Fit Approach. All opinions are my own.

When I was in my early 20s, my favorite outfit to wear was jeans, a sleek tank, and heels. I wore gobs of makeup, made sure my hair was perfect each day, and was obsessed with designer labels. My love for these labels did not come from actually loving the designers; it was because my friends loved the designers and I wanted to be cool. I was the girl who cared more about beauty than comfort. I remember my going-away party when I was 24 (before my move from Cleveland to Los Angeles): it was 20°F outside, ice everywhere, cold as could be, and I was wearing bright red, 5 inch heels.

To that I say -_-

Now I’m in my late 20s, and a few things have changed. My days consist of meditation, yoga, nannying, and lounging/Netflixing. Heels and jeans are the LAST things I need. However, one thing has remained the same: the label. While I didn’t understand the quality of designer brands when I was younger, I’ve now learned to appreciate quality brands. One of those brands is prAna.

liveinprana sup redondo

PrAna, meaning breath or universal life force, is an eco-conscious, sustainable, organic clothing company whose mission is to inspire healthy, active, free-spirited living. The clothes are incredibly comfortable, versatile, and chic. I love that I can wear any of the pieces practically anywhere! As I type this post, I’m wearing the Maison Leggings in plum baleen. Last night, I went to a taping and dinner with friends wearing my black Gabi Leggings. I wear my black Lahiri swimsuit when I go to the beach/pool with the girl I nanny (and I can’t forget my prAna chapstick!). I live in prAna every single day.

To celebrate how I #LiveInPrana, I joined the #sweatpink #7daystretch campaign with prAna and Fit Approach on Instagram! For 7 days, #sweatpinkers, yogis, climbers, and adventure enthusiasts posted how they lived in prAna. I received four items from prAna for this campaign.

Are you loving these prAna outfits as much as I do?! Because there’s great news: prAna is having a SALE! 40-50% off past season items (some of the pieces are fall/winter and do not qualify), which you can find here.

Join Me As I #LiveInPrana During The #7DayStretch

August 28, 2015 By lyndsinreallife Leave a Comment

I’m joining prAna and Sweat Pink for a super fun, #7daystretch #liveinprana challenge – it started Monday, August 24th and ends Sunday, August 30th (we’re already halfway through, sorry about that!). Join in on the fun – answering daily prompts (see below) – or if you’d prefer to lurk, you can follow along on FitApproach or through the hashtags: #liveinprana #7daystretch #sweatpink!

We’ll be talking about how we (the community) embrace a prAna lifestyle (#liveinprana) and are challenging ourselves to stretch a little deeper, farther and more mindfully for 7 whole days (the #7daystretch). And we’re not just stretching our bodies so you don’t have to be pretzel to join in, we’re also stretching our minds and souls!

We’re nearing the end of August and even though the summer is coming to an end, I’m super excited about the Fall because the air is cooler and crispier.  In fact, my very favorite thing about Fall is the new fall fashion. I can imagine myself wearing the Bourke Top from prAna while I walk my dog along the beach!

Avoid Dehydration With The World’s First Alkaline Sports Drink, Phenoh

April 18, 2015 By lyndsinreallife 5 Comments

I suck at keeping hydrated.

Really, I do. I’m ALWAYS thirsty because of a medication I’m taking, I’m always walking/playing with the kids I babysit, it’s hot in LA, and then add in my yoga and stretching. You’d think I’d be better at it! Truthfully, no matter how much water I drink, I can’t seem to feel hydrated. It’s a never-ending battle and it’s severely hurting my health.

Disclosure: I received a 12 pack of pHenOH as part of my #SweatPink ambassadorship with Fit Approach. Monetary compensation was received. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

phenoh alkaline ph sports exercise stress

I heard about pHenOH through Fit Approach (I am a #SweatPink ambassador) and thought I’d give it a try! It’s the world’s first alkaline sports drink, which aids in staying balanced during times of stress and exercise! Below is an excerpt from the home page of their website, explaining who they are and what pHenOH is:

A superior, healthy, ALKALINE alternative to conventional sports drinks. Phenoh has redefined the concept of a “sports drink” to reflect the needs of athletes and active individuals alike. Phenoh 7.4, with just 7 naturally healthy ingredients and a pH of 7.4, is everything that your body needs to stay balanced during stress and exercise. This is not an ade, this is pHenOH.

What attracted me to pHenOH is the pH level. PHenOH’s pH level is 7.4 (alkaline) and is the biggest part of what makes them stand out. If you’re having difficulty recalling anything from your high school chemistry class (ahem, me), pHenOH gives an easy lamens terms summary of pH (website):

The body is naturally alkaline  [7.4 pH] and it must stay that way in order to function properly. Stress and exercise cause the production and buildup of acidic compounds in our blood, contributing to fatigue and negative health effects.

Regular sports drinks have an excessive amount of sugar and extremely acidic pH levels. Did you know anything below a pH of 5.5 can cause tooth decay? Super gross. So not only am I not hydrating enough, I’m also most likely consuming things with too high of a pH. In addition to the things I’m consuming, I also have very high stress levels (I rarely have me time). I realized it was time to try pHenOH and see if it helped!

In a nutshell, YEP! After incorporating pHenOH into my daily routine (2 a day for 6 days), I felt more hydrated and balanced. Dehydration causes fatigue, so it was definitely awesome not getting tired a couple hours after waking up. For only have 7 ingredients, I wasn’t sure how it would taste. However, it is delightful! I love the hint of aloe vera and agave nectar.

The Ingredients:

  • the finest organic aloe vera
  • naturally low glycemic organic agave nectar
  • potassium (no added sodium)
  • magnesium
  • vitamin C
  • only 30 calories per 8 ounce serving

Research shows that pHenOH 7.4 (source):

  • Increases VO2 Max (oxygen metabolism) by up to 10%.
  • Boosts your endurance.
  • Enhances your peak athletic performance.
  • Offsets the effects of altitude on performance.
  • Buffers your acidic metabolic waste during exercise and stress.

If you’re interested in a Q&A with the founder Alex Schmotter (an avid outdoorsman and dentist), I highly recommend fellow #SweatPink ambassador Kinetic Fix’s blog post!

My honest opinion of pHenOH 7.4 alkaline drink:

I love it! I’m an advocate for consuming only natural and organic foods/drinks (except the occasional cake from Susie Cakes), avoiding chemicals as much as possible, and easier ways to get hydrated. I can only drink so much water without getting bored; having a tasty, healthy drink like pHenOH is exactly what I need! Oh, and my boyfriend totally loves it. He’s a soccer coach, health coach, swimmer, and exercise enthusiast (he walked 12 miles today if that’s any indication of his enthusiasm), and he’s been stealing my pHenOHs (I caught him red-handed!). He never likes anything I like; so pHenOH and friends, know that this is a HUGE victory! Haha 🙂

Share on social media what you love about pHenOH 7.4 by using the hashtags #GoAlkaline, #FindYourPhenoh, #StayBalanced, & #Sweatpink! You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

ActivMotion Bar: A Better Way To Strengthen Your Core

February 3, 2015 By lyndsinreallife 6 Comments

Guys & gals, I have found my new favorite piece of workout equipment. It’s easy to use, easy to store, and it’s extremely effective!

So what is it?

It’s called ActivMotion Bar.

ActivMotion Bar SweatPink

“The ActivMotion Bar is no ordinary fitness bar. It’s always moving and strengthening your core with every exercise—because it’s filled with rolling steel weights. No other fitness product comes close to creating a multisensory workout experience like this. The moment you pick it up you’ll hear the weights move inside and feel them challenging your body. Whether you’re a beginner, a trainer, a pro athlete or anything in between, it’s time to change the way you train, engage mind and muscle, experience an amazing workout and get in shape quicker than ever before. It’s time for the ActivMotion Bar” (website).

When Fit Approach offered the opportunity to try the ActivMotion bar as part of my #SweatPink ambassadorship, I had to give it a little extra thought (Disclosure: I received a free bar, plus compensation, in exchange for my honest review). I don’t generally use weights during my workouts, so I was a little hesitant. Was it going to be too heavy? Would I end up hurting myself (I can be a total klutz)? As it turns out, I LOVE the ActivMotion bar! It’s light (the one I have, at least; it comes in 6, 8, 10, 15, or 18 lbs), but definitely gives resistance. After a few reps, I start to feel the burn. The day after my first workout with the bar, my arms and core were sore! It was awesome. Along with that, it’s easy to use. It’s one simple bar- it does not require assembly or parts.

Plus, it has rolling steel weights inside! The steel weights help you to strengthen your core during your entire workout. I like the rolling steel weights because they help me to stay balanced (something that’s not-so-easy with Ménière’s Disease).

A big reason why I like using the ActivMotion bar is that I can use it in my living room, and for any type of workout. I practice yoga, so I don’t use weights often. But I found that I could incorporate it into most of my yoga poses! Then when I’m done with my workout, I can store it in my closet or corner.

I did a 30 minute workout in my living room, and my boyfriend snapped some photos (don’t judge, I’m still learning form!):

If you want to follow a routine, you can purchase DVDs. Choose between Total Body Toning, Active Aging, Training System, Foundation Builder (Level 1), Progressive Movement (Level 2), and Dynamic Performance (Level 3).

After using the ActivMotion Bar for about a month, I’m hooked! I’m seriously so excited to be incorporating the bar into various workouts. Plus my boyfriend loves it too! I made a quick video testimonial of why I love this bar:

My apologies for the vertical screen- I just got an iPhone 6 and had the hardest time holding the phone while recording!

I highly recommend the ActivMotion Bar for anyone who enjoys fitness. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a professional athlete, this bar will definitely help you step up your game!

When I think about yoga, the first thought that comes to mind is pushing beyond limits. Yoga tests me and makes me feel strong.

That’s why I am SO pumped to participate in prAna’s Take The Leap 30 days of Yoga Challenge with Sweat Pink. I plan to camel pose my way to a more strong and stress-free 2015!

For me, the biggest challenge when it comes to yoga is doing poses while having chronic pain. Taking the Leap with prAna and Sweat Pink is a great way for me to conquer the obstacles of not being able to complete certain poses.

My favorite place to yoga is outdoors (secluded) because it is so peaceful and rejuvenating.

Here’s a photo of me in my very best tree pose:
